Purple Passion

This absolutely heavenly delight not only tastes unbelievably scrumptious, it's also loaded with antioxidants, as well as important vitamins and minerals.  If you've tried to eat breakfast, but you just can't seem to manage it (like me - I'm still having an issue with that), this nutritious, delicious, low-calorie treat will help you kick-start your day.  I know I'm sure enjoying my newest creation!

Purple Passion

Ingredients

1 orange, peeled (leave on the white stuff)
1 banana, cut into small pieces for blending
1 apple
12 strawberries
2 sm. handfuls fresh or frozen blueberries

Directions

1.  Juice the orange, apple and strawberries, and set aside the liquid.

2.  In a blender or food processor, add the cut-up banana and the blueberries.

3.  Add the juice you set aside, and then blend on high speed for about two minutes.

NOTE:  If you want to thicken things up, use the pulp from the fruit you juiced. It tastes absolutely wonderful.    You can also use the pulp as a kind of jam on bread (toasted or untoasted; it doesn't matter), as a topper for cereal, or even as a fruit base for plain yogurt.

The great thing about these recipes is that you're keeping your calorie intake low, you're reducing or eliminating cravings, and you feel more satisfied for longer periods of time.  I've been noticing this, and I couldn't be happier.    Some of us have such a hard time peeling off the layers...

Now go.  Go for the juicer, go for the recipe, and then go and grab the world by its tail and give it a good spin!
